Nathan Van Arsdale is a modern polymath whose work lives at the intersection of the three pillars of technical precision, acoustic resonance, and long-term physical resilience. A master musician and singer, educator, and technician, Nathan has spent over two decades exploring how frequency—whether through sound, light, or the human spirit—defines and influences the human experience. Like a sine wave, life can be seen a series of ups, downs, highs, and lows that resonate through our every fiber. All matter is vibration.
Resonate Vitality: Resilience in Motion 💪
Nathan’s commitment to wellness is forged in discipline and lived experience. For 25 years, he has managed chronic pain from an auto-immune disease. Through a meticulously crafted lifestyle of conscious eating, exercise, stress management, and custom orthotics, he has successfully mitigated chronic inflammation; while he still navigates occasional flare-ups that can last for months, he meets these challenges with the same grit he brings to the gym.
The Symphony of Light and Sound 🎼📸
For Nathan, the lens and the music staff are two sides of the same coin. A Master’s-trained bass-baritone who has performed in European cathedrals and the East Room of the White House, his deep understanding of acoustics informs his visual art. Likewise, as a person who experiences synesthesia, he hears the color of sounds. He treats photography as a visual frequency, applying mathematical rigor and poetic metaphor to light and composition to communicate the sound of a scene. As an audio-visual engineer and designer, he ensures that every frequency—auditory or visual—reaches its peak potential.
A Legacy of Performance and Media 🎙️🎬
Nathan’s career is a testament to versatility. He has navigated the media world both in front of and behind the camera, creating commercial videos and serving as a Radio DJ for Las Vegas' popular station, Mix 94.1. His physical discipline even extended to the silver screen, where he served as a stuntman in the cinematic landmark Black Hawk Down. Whether managing high-level AV technical mastery or performing as an actor or musician, Nathan brings an elite level of presence to every project.
Stewardship and Connection 🏔️🐾
Based in Southwest Colorado, Nathan’s vision is grounded in community and conservation. A dedicated Board Member for Homesfund, member of the Durango School District Housing Commitee, and president of his HOA, he is a staunch advocate for sustainable housing, empowerment through support, and peaceful, practical solutions. Nathan's commitment to harmony extends beyond human structures to the animals we live with; he is an experienced dog and cat trainer, and a Master Gardener who applies the same patience and cues required for a musical score to the natural world.
By his side is Mr. Spotacus Bovine Waddlesforth (Spot for short), is his self-trained service dog who assists in pain management and provides critical alerts for nutritional timing. His journey is one of ever-growing empathy. For Nathan, feeling and expressing gratitude continues to be foundational in his health, even when the pain seems overwhelming.
As a former yogi and current natural body-builder, he values the discipline of movement and breath to tune the body for the demands of a life well-lived. Whether he is advocating for local ecology or preparing for a classical recital, Nathan Van Arsdale continues to prove that when we align our craft with our convictions, we don't just exist—we ResoNate.
